Welcome to the Residential Chlorine Tester Home Page

This page provides detailed information about the Residential Chlorine Testing Program.

Currently, Thurston PUD has 57 water systems where chlorine is used as a disinfectant or part of other treatment processes. Our residential chlorine testers provide a valuable service by helping ensure that Thurston PUD follows Department of Health Standards through daily testing, recording, and reporting out of range chlorine residuals. All residential chlorine testers receive a monthly credit to offset the additional water used to perform the test and for their time.

We’ve made some exciting changes to the program, so please take a moment to review the details below. As a chlorine tester you now have the option to report a low or high residual through a web form, rather than calling Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm. If it’s outside these hours, you still need to call so our field technicians can be notified. This link can easily be saved on your cell phone, so you don’t even have to visit the website to access it.

In addition, it’s also possible to request more supplies through our web site. Again, this link can be saved on your cell phone and you can request supplies with just a few clicks.

Finally, blank reporting forms are available to download! If you would like us to mail paper copies, we’d be happy to do so, but want to provide our testers as many options as possible.
